Easy Solution Lab built Roof Pitch Gauge & Calculator as a practical roofing measurement and calculation app. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
1. Information You Enter and Save
Roof Pitch Gauge & Calculator does not require you to create an account.
The app may allow you to save information such as:
Roof pitch and angle measurements
Saved readings
Job names
Client or customer names
Address or location text entered by you
Job notes
Roof section information
App settings and preferences
This information is stored locally on your device. Easy Solution Lab does not operate a server that receives or stores this job or measurement information.
2. Camera and Photos
The app requests Camera permission only for features that require camera access, such as Camera Gauge.
Camera Gauge uses the live camera preview to help you visually align a guide with a roof edge. Camera images are processed for the requested feature and are not uploaded to an Easy Solution Lab server.
If you choose a roof or job photo from your device, the app accesses only the item you select through Android's available file or media selection system.
The app may create a stamped roof photo or PDF report when you request one. Your original selected photo is not intentionally modified.
3. Motion Sensor Data
The app uses available device motion sensors, such as the accelerometer, to calculate phone tilt, roof angle, and roof pitch.
Sensor readings are processed on the device for measurement functions. Easy Solution Lab does not upload raw motion sensor readings to its own servers.
4. Advertising
Roof Pitch Gauge & Calculator uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertisements.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share certain information, including:
IP address, which may be used to estimate general location
App and ad interactions
Diagnostic and performance information
Device and account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID where available
Google may use this information for purposes including advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.
Advertising information is processed according to Google's own privacy policies and settings. Users may be able to reset or delete their Android advertising ID or adjust advertising preferences through their device or Google settings.
Easy Solution Lab does not receive your saved roof measurements, job notes, customer information, or selected job photos through AdMob.
5. Google Play Services
The app may use Google Play services, including Google Play In-App Review, to provide features such as requesting an optional app review.
These Google services may communicate with Google according to Google's applicable terms and privacy practices.
6. Sharing and Exporting
The app allows you to voluntarily share or export information such as:
Measurement summaries
Job information
PDF reports
Stamped roof photos
Sharing occurs only when you choose a sharing or export action.
When you share a file with another app or service, the privacy practices of that destination are controlled by that third party. Easy Solution Lab is not responsible for how another service handles information after you choose to send it there.
7. Permissions
Depending on the features you use, the app may use the following permissions or device capabilities:
Camera
Used for Camera Gauge and related camera functionality.
Advertising ID
The app includes the Android advertising ID permission for Google Mobile Ads.
Motion Sensors
Used to calculate device tilt, roof angle, and pitch. Motion sensor access does not require you to provide personal information.
The app does not require camera access to use manual roofing calculators or other features that do not depend on the camera.
8. Analytics and Developer-Operated Servers
The current app does not include an Easy Solution Lab account system, custom cloud synchronization service, or developer-operated analytics platform for your saved jobs and measurements.
Third-party services included in the app, particularly Google Mobile Ads and Google Play services, may process technical or usage information as described in their own privacy policies.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Saved readings, jobs, notes, and related app data remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app.
You can:
Delete saved readings or jobs from the app where available
Remove selected job information
Revoke Camera permission through Android Settings
Clear the app's storage through Android Settings
Uninstall the app to remove app-private local data
Files that you previously exported, saved, or shared may remain in the location or third-party service where you placed them.
Information processed independently by Google is subject to Google's own retention and deletion practices.
10. Data Security
We design the app to keep your roof measurements and job records primarily on your device and limit access to device features to functions that need them.
However, no electronic system or method of data transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Children's Privacy
Roof Pitch Gauge & Calculator is designed as a roofing and construction utility and is not specifically directed toward children.
We do not knowingly operate an account system or developer server intended to collect personal information from children through this app.
12. Measurement and Safety Notice
Roof measurements may be affected by device sensor quality, calibration, phone cases, device placement, camera perspective, and environmental conditions.
Camera Gauge is intended as a visual estimation tool. Measurements used for construction, fabrication, structural work, code compliance, or safety-critical decisions should be verified using appropriate professional measuring equipment and procedures.
Always follow applicable workplace and roof-access safety practices.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when app features, third-party services, legal requirements, or data practices change.
Any updated version will show a revised effective date.
